Styrax benzoin Dryand. is a tree in the Styracaceae family.[1] Common names for it include: benzoin, benzoin tree, onycha, and styrax tree.[1] It is native to India, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia (West Java, Sumatra, and Malaysia).[1] Resin from the tree is used to make incense. Burning Styrax resin repels snakes.
